ProcessorQualcomm Snapdragon 720G (8 nm)
RAM & Storage6GB | 128GB
OSAndroid 10, MIUI 12
Battery Life5020mAh | 33W Fast charger

Design and Build

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max looks identical to Redmi Note 9 Pro. This device features a glass back and comes in three different colours, Black – Gold – Blue.

Considering its big 6-inch form factor and a large battery pack inside – the device does feel a bit hefty in the hands.

The device is sturdy and the design is attractive and shiny.

At the bottom frame, there’s an audio jack, USB Type-C, and speaker are aligned.

The fingerprint sensor is embedded inside the power button and is easily accessible. The sensor works swiftly and you can also set up face unlock as well.

Just like any other Xiaomi smartphone this mobile phone also has an IR blaster to operate the TV, A.C, or even projectors seamlessly.

Display

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

This is an IPS panel protected by the corning gorilla glass 5. The colour accuracy and viewing angle are better.

To attract media enthusiasts, the display also has the support of Widevine L1 means you can stream OTT platform content in HD or FHD resolution.

Processor and Performance

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max runs by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz.

This smartphone comes with 6GB LPDDRX4 RAM which gives an agile performance and allows to do multitasking without any lag or stutter.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max also equipped with the Navic navigation which is developed by ISRO, which helps you find your way to your destination.

The 128GB UFS 2.1 storage is one good deal you get on this device, it’s has a better read and write speed than eMMC storage.

You can further expand the storage by adding an external microSD card.

The UI you get to use is MIUI 12 invented on Android 10. The animations work smoothly but there are few ads to aware of.

Overall the performance is amazing conspiring its price tag.

Camera

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a cake-like design quad-camera setup on the rear supported with the LED-flashlight and a single selfie camera.

Rear-camera

The 64MP primary lens comes with an aperture of f/1.89 and it takes awesome images in daylight.

The colour reproduction of the image is balanced and the dynamic range is also good. One more thing is the sharpness in the photos.

The 8MP ultrawide lens gives a bit more view than a primary camera to capture extra detailed images.

The 5MP macro lens is awesome on this one and you can also record videos in macro videos.

The 2MP depth sensor gives you awesome portraits, I liked the edge detection and the blur effect is also satisfactory.

The camera on Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is surely ahead of Redmi Note 9 Pro.

You can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames and with slow-motion mode, you can record videos in 720 at 960 fps.

Also while recording casually the camera also has EIS stabilization so even if you move the camera slightly the device manages to reflect it in a stable mode.

Selfie

The 32MP selfie shooter gives amazing photos, you can even record videos at 120fps from a selfie camera by turning on slow-motion.

In the selfie, I think the colour needs a little improvement, other than this everything is just fine under the 20,000 rupees.

Battery Life

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a large 5020mAh battery that lasts for about a day on casual use and with heavy use it lasts somewhere around 6 to 7 hours.

The bundled 33W fast charger juice up the battery in almost an hour.

Verdict

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the best device at the price of Rs.20,000. This smartphone has an agile processor, modern UFS storage, and a big display to watch Netflix.

Moreover, the camera performance is absolutely amazing compared to other devices comes at the price of 20000 rupees.

Good
  • Bundled fast charger
  • Efficient Snapdragon octa-core processor
  • Spectacular camera performance
  • Modern UFS storage
  • Glass protection on both sides
Bad
  • A bit heavy

2. Realme 6 Pro

Realme 6 Pro
Realme 6 Pro Specification
Display6.6-inch 90Hz FHD+ IPS display
Camera64 + 12 + 8 + 2MP Rear | 16 + 8MP Selfie
ProcessorQualcomm Snapdragon 720G (8 nm)
RAM & Storage6GB | 128GB
OSAndroid 10, Realme UI
Battery Life4300mAh | 30W Fast charger

After the successful hit of Realme 3 Pro, Realme never stopped continuing this series, and among all of them, this one of the best smartphone under 20000 rupees.

Design and Build

The construction of Realme 6 Pro is done using polycarbonate and to enhance the look and feel Realme put a corning gorilla glass 5 on the back.

It does not just make the device look good but also prevents the back from permanent scratches and dents.

The lighting effect on the back really attracts me a lot, two of my friends get this phone by asking me and both of them are grateful for having this device in their hands.

Read the completed review of Realme 6 Pro.

The Realme 6 Pro is splash-proof so you don’t have to worry while a small rain makes a step on you, your device will remain safe and sound.

Display

The Realme 6 Pro features a 6.6-inch 90Hz Full HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

The high refresh rate panel provides a buttery smooth experience and once you turn on 90Hz there’s no way you switch back to 60Hz.

The corning gorilla glass 5 protection is also provided on the front and you can put an extra scratch guard to protect the display from getting scars.

The device has a certification of Widevine L1 permitting you to stream Netflix, and Hotstar content in HD and Full HD resolution.

Also, the colour reproduction is good even though it’s not an AMOLED panel. And in my real-life experience, I don’t find any pixelation on the screen.

Performance

The Realme 6 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor designed on an 8-nanometer.

6GB RAM runs every task effortlessly and the 64GB UFS 2.1 storage provides sufficient space to store all your media files.

Realme UI designed on Android 10 is easy to use and to stop getting app recommendations just head over to the setting, search for “Get Recommendations” and turn it off.

G in the processor evokes gaming, and the performance on gaming is really good for the asking price.

You can play a battle royale game at about 45fps and other genre games are also playable without any lag or stutters.

Camera

Realme 6 Pro has a quad-camera setup at the rear and two front shooters tucked into the punch-hole display.

Rear-Camera

This mobile phone has a 64MP main camera with an aperture of f/1,8, 12MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultrawide lens, and the remaining one is a 2MP macro lens.

Primary lens clicks good photos with satisfactory dynamic range and colours.

The missing lens is depth sensor but since AI getting improved over the day I don’t feel like that not having is a bummer.

There is a portrait mode that captures the bokeh photos and the quality is decent, there is a little bit of edge detection issue but it will fix in the software updates.

The 2x digital zoom is fantastic the photos taken in 2x look clear, sharp and the colour are well maintained.

Selfie

The 16 + 8MP selfies on the front look cool but I feel like a secondary camera isn’t necessary however it is good for one reason.

The 8MP ultrawide lens on the front provides better group selfies than other smartphones that come at the price of Rs.20,000.

The selfie video has stabilization and you can even record bokeh video from the front lens.

Battery Life

The Realme 6 Pro encompasses the 4300mAh battery that easily lasts a day on normal use on gaming it drains faster which is very obvious.

Realme also included a 30W VooC 4.0 charger inside the box that juice up this battery from 0-100%  in 1 hour 10-20 minutes.

My Opinion

The Realme 6 Pro is the best smartphone under 20000 rupees. It provides good gaming and camera experience.

Not to forget the high refresh rate experience and with the incredible fast charging support, this one is a praiseworthy deal to crack under 20000 rupees.

Good
  • 90Hz refresh rate
  • Powerful Snapdragon 720G processor
  • VooC 4.0 fast charging
  • Good camera
  • Pleasing aesthetics
Bad

3. Samsung Galaxy M31s

Samsung Galaxy M31s
Samsung Galaxy M31s Specification
Display6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display
Camera64 + 12 + 5 + 5MP Rear | 32MP Selfie
ProcessorExynos 9611 (10nm)
RAM & Storage6GB | 128GB
OSAndroid 10, One UI 2.5
Battery Life6000mAh | 25W Fast charger

Samsung galaxy M31s is top of the line mid range phone compared to M31 but there are less differences in specs but in terms of display and battery this smartphone beats the competition.

Design and Build

Samsung Galaxy M31s has a polycarbonate back and the rear panel attracts the fingerprint smudges a lot so keep a case cover on this mobile.

Almost forgot to tell you, there is no case provided in the box you have to buy it separately.

Coming from back to frames, the top frame consists of a secondary mic for the noise cancellation that cut out the external noise so you can talk effortlessly even in a crowded place.

At the bottom there’s a round 3.5mm sized jack for earphones or headphones, right next to it there is a USB Type-C port and a speaker grill.

You can use 2 4G sim at once and in tray there’s a separate place for the microSD card to expand the storage.

What I like Samsung finally moved the fingerprint sensor to the power button and it is easily accessible.

Display

Samsung Galaxy M31s features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and 405-pixel density.

Bezels you found on this phone are so narrower and experience on the media consumption is amazing.

Since it’s an AMOLED panel there is no issue with the colour reproduction and the brightness levels are good too.

With the corning gorilla glass 3 on top the display is able to survive most of the accidental drop but I still prefer to add scratch guard as it is better safe than sorry.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy M31s encircles their own Exynos 9611 SoC which is an octa-core chipset but needs a hella of improvements.

But since not everybody is a gamer, this chipset works just fine for the day to day use and if you seek gaming better go with the snapdragon devices that I’ve listed.

The 6GB of RAM provides buttery smooth experience on multitasking and the 128GB UFS 2.1 storage should be sufficient for storing media.

Even if you run out of space, there is still a microSD card slot.

Samsung Galaxy M31s runs the One UI 2.5 based on Android 10. The UI is well optimised and user friendly for most of the indian users.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy M31s has a quad-camera settled in a rectangular-shaped plate that has curved edges and a single punch-hole selfie camera.

Rear-Camera

Samsung Galaxy M31s has a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 5MP depth sensor.

Images from the rear-camera have exceptional results in a daylight condition but in nightlight is not as expected.

The ultrawide lens captures a wide field of view and the images taken from this lens have no distortion in it means the photos look clear and sharp.

With the depth sensing lens you are able to capture some stunning portraits and edge detection is on sub-par.

In video, the EIS stabilization is provided and you can record video in 1080p-30fps without having much shakiness in the video.

Selfie

The 32MP selfie camera is not bad at all. In well-lit conditions the photos’ outcomes are good and pleasant enough to post them on social media.

But edge detection is quite not right in some conditions so I guess it will be fixed within the software updates.

Battery Life

A 6000mAh battery is the key point of marketing strategy but hey the backup is not bad either with a normal use the battery lasts 1 and half days.

Also this time Samsung has included a 25W fast charger inside the box which is much more satisfying than 15W.

My Opinion

Samsung Galaxy M31s is good for non-gamers. People who attend more calls, emails and messages then this device is perfect for the price under 20000 rupees.

Good
  • Exceptional battery life
  • Decent processor
  • Bezel-less AMOLED display
  • Fingerprint sensor on Power Button
Bad
  • Heating issue while gaming

4. Poco X3

Poco X3
Poco X3 Specification
Display6.67-inch 120Hz FHD+ IPS display
Camera64 + 13 + 2 + 2MP Rear | 20MP front
ProcessorQualcomm Snapdragon 732G (8 nm)
RAM & Storage6GB | 64GB
OSAndroid 10, MIUI 12
Battery Life6000mAh | 33W Fast charger

After the great success of Poco F1, the company has started releasing some different line-ups in the Poco series(such as X-series and M-series) and this one from the bunch is surely a good one.

Design and Build

The Poco X3 is really heavy compared to any other budget or mid-range smartphones.

Poco X3 weighs almost 220-225 grams, it sure sounds less in the text but using it with a single hand for a long time is not possible.

While gaming it’s not a problem as you hold the device in two hands. But how long you are going to game? 2 hours or maybe 4 hours, after that it’s the same situation.

This smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded on the power button which works snappy.

The haptic feedback on vibration from this device is good.

Poco X3 has a dual speaker that provides a good sound quality but I still recommend earphones or headphones is still a good choice for the surround sound experience.

The device has a hybrid sim slot, which means you can either use two 4G SIM or 1 SIM + 1 Memory card.

Display

Poco X3 features a 6.67-inch 120Hz Full HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and 395-pixel density.

Visual looks sharp and the experience is ultra-smooth with a high refresh rate. And on top of that, the touch sampling rate of the display is 240Hz and it helps in gaming a lot.

The brightness levels are good for indoor conditions and the outdoor usability is decent also,  the colour reproduction of the display gratifies the eyes.

Performance

The showrunner of the Poco X3 is none other than Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G octa-core CPU.

The variant you seeing here is 6GB RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

Multitasking is a piece of cake for this device and you can play games without having any lag or stutters.

The MIUI 12 developed on Android 10 is good for use but loaded with bloatware and ads. Poco should have its own separate UI in my guess.

Camera

Poco X3 has a quad-camera setup on the rear accompanied by the LED-flashlight and on the front, there’s a single-camera located in the center.

Rear-Camera

The Poco X3 has a 64MP main camera featuring a Sony IMX682 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with an aperture of f/2.2, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The image optimization of the Poco X3 is really fantastic in the daylight condition as well as in the night, by using night mode.

Images taken from the primary lens has a sharpness and detailing while maintaining dynamic range at good levels.

Selfie

20MP selfie shooter clicks decent selfies. Normal selfies have good skin tones and colour optimization.

However, in the portrait selfies, there’s an issue with edge detection but not much of a deal-breaker.

Battery Life

Poco X3 houses a 6000mAh battery that lasts a day on a normal use even if you put the refresh rate at 120Hz.

The Poco has provided a 33W fast charger inside the box to juice up the battery really pronto.

My Opinion

Except for the weight, everything on Poco is good. You get a powerful processor, big RAM, and UFS storage for agile performance.

The big battery lasts long and the camera gives satisfactory results.

So yes, it is a good smartphone to have under the price of 20000 rupees.

Good
  • 120Hz refresh rate display
  • Big battery with fast charging support
  • Well optimized camera
  • Powerful performance
Bad
  • Heavy

5. Oppo F17

Oppo f17
Oppo F17 Specification
Display6.44-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display
Camera16 + 8 + 2 + 2MP Rear | 16MP front
ProcessorQualcomm Snapdragon 662 (11 nm)
RAM & Storage8GB | 128GB
OSAndroid 10, ColorOS 7.2
Battery Life4015mAh | 30W Fast charger

Oppo has pulled the F series so far and here we can see in the numbers and even in the future they may have marked other phones already to release in this series.

Design and Build

To say the build in one word, it would be “Fabulous”.

Oppo F17 aesthetics are on par with compared to any other smartphone that comes under the 18000 rupees.

The back is surely made out of plastic but it has a leather finish that gives an excellent grip to the hand so the smartphone won’t sleep from the hand.

Not only that it looks way premium and there’s a vertical steel strip with the Oppo branding on it.

Camera design looks similar to the Dice number 4 and it has shiny aluminum borders as well for the enhanced look.

Coming to usability, the Oppo F17 weighs just 161 grams and it feels very light in hand and can be used with a single hand.

This smartphone has an in-display fingerprint scanner that works fast and having the optical fingerprint scanner at this price is really a surprise.

Display

Oppo F17 features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

With the 409-pixel density every visual on this display sharp and clear. Also, the AMOLED on this device surely catches your attention with its warm colour reproduction.

The Widevine L1 support allows media enthusiasts to watch OTT content in HD and FHD resolution.

Performance

Oppo F17 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC.

The Oppo F17 also has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage which tends to provide an immersive performance experience.

You can do multitasking and play games without any lag or stutters. To be precise for the game part, you can not play battle royale games like PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile at full setting.

The ColorOS 7.2 designed on Android 10 is good for use and works fine.

Camera

The Dice Number 4 style camera at the rear looks great and on the front, there is a single selfie camera.

Rear-Camera

Oppo F17 has a setup of 16MP wide, 8MP ultrawide, and two 2MP mono lenses at the back.

Primary camera provides decent images in sunlight conditions but the ultrawide needs improvements.

The mono lens used to capture black and white filter images directly from the lens without applying any additional filters.

In the video, EIS stabilization is provided which is useful while recording your best movement in the camera.

Selfie

16MP selfie camera gives good results in daylight.

The night mode option is available in the front camera but the image output is okayish, nothing extraordinary.

Battery Life

Oppo F17 comes with a 4015mAh lithium polymer battery and it lasts a day easily.

The 30W charger is beneficial, and it juices up the battery levels in 1 hour 10 minutes approx.

My Opinion

The Oppo F17 is really a piece of art and usability is extremely good. If you seek a lightweight phone with some decent performance and good camera then Oppo F17 can be your new companion.

Price under 20000 rupees I do recommend this to casual users.

Good
  • Leather finish on the back
  • Soo lightweight
  • High amount of RAM
  • Fast charging support
Bad
  • Processor could have been better

6. Redmi Note 8 Pro

Redmi note 8 pro
Redmi Note 8 Pro Specification
Display6.53-inch FHD+ IPS display
Camera64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 52MP rear | 20MP front
ProcessorMediaTek Helio G90T (12nm)
RAM & Storage8GB | 128GB
OSAndroid 10, MIUI 12
Battery Life4500mAh | 18W Fast charger

Even though it’s a 2019 model, I like you to pay attention to this device as it features a powerful MediaTek processor and when it comes to performance this is the best smartphone you could ever find in the range of Rs.20,000.

Design and Build

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has a glossy polycarbonate back and to be honest the exterior was done on this device is admirable.

It feels premium and looks attractive, there’s also a Redmi logo plastered vertically that looks great.

The build quality is durable as it also has a corning gorilla 5 protection on the back.

You can insert two 4G SIM cards and one microSD card on this device and connectivity bands are strong enough to provide a stable network.

The fingerprint is in-line with the camera setup is a big problem here as the phone itself is big and sometimes the finger touches the ultrawide lens. And every time it happens you have to clean that lens which is kind of a headache.

Redmi Note 8 Pro has your beloved IR blaster to control things like TV, AC, or even your classroom projector.

Also, the fingerprint works perfectly.

Display

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS teardrop display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

The peak brightness level of this device is 500 nits means you can even use the device under direct sunlight without having any hassle.

Bezels from the sides are thin even the bottom chin on this Redmi Note 8 Pro is considerably thin compared to other devices resulting in an immersive wide viewing experience.

The panel provides sharp quality and the colour reproduction is good as well.

Performance

Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first smartphone equipped with the MediaTek Helio G90T.

This processor from MediaTek designed to offer a superior gaming experience in budget smartphones and trust me they do succeed in it.

You can run games like PUBG Mobile at extreme fps and not just PUBG but many other battle royale games are playable without any hiccups.

The 8GB RAM inside also plays a crucial role in it, it provides a smooth experience even on multitasking.

The 128G UFS 2.1 storage loads the app quickly and provides brilliant speed on data copy/paste and transfer.

As I told you earlier in the design section, you can even increase the storage by inserting a microSD card.

Camera

Redmi Note 8 Pro houses a quad-camera setup where 3 cameras are in-line where as the 4th camera is partnered with the LED-flashlight.

A single selfie camera is placed in the front center.

Rear-Camera

Redmi Note 8 Pro has 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor.

The photos taken from the rear-camera lacks colour saturation and sharpness is also not as expected.

Using an ultrawide lens under artificial lighting conditions is not a good idea at all as the images look soft and your inner self will force you to delete that photo.

Night mode is worse here, the images have lots of noise, and the case in portrait photography is no different.

The edge detection is poor.

Selfie

The 20MP selfie with an aperture of f/2.0 provides okayish selfies. In daylight, results are decent enough.

Battery Life

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with the 4500mAh lithium polymer battery which easily lasts you a day, but on gaming, it might drain fast and it depends on what type of game you’re playing.

18W fast charger is much needed these days and the company has given this fast charger inside the box.

My Opinion

If you seek a solid performance from a smartphone that comes under 20000 rupees, then Redmi Note 8 Pro is the one that you are looking for.

However, if you are serious about the camera then I suggest you keep away from this smartphone.

Good
  • Powerful MediaTek G90T processor
  • Eye-catchy design
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides
  • 18W fast charger
Bad
  • Poor camera
  • Heating issue

7. Samsung Galaxy M31 – Prime Edition

Samsung galaxy m31 prime edition
Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition Specification
Display6.4-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display
Camera64MP + 8MP + 5MP + 5MP rear | 32MP front
ProcessorExynos 9611 (10nm)
RAM & Storage6GB | 128GB
OSAndroid 11, One UI 3.0
Battery Life6000mAh | 15W Fast charger

The Samsung Galaxy M31 is available in two editions, normal and prime. Where normal edition is listed in the best smartphone under 16000 list, make sure to check that one out.

Also, read my honest review on Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition

Design and Build

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition has a polycarbonate back and it’s available in space black colour.

The back panel is a fingerprint magnet so you better put a case cover and after that, I do advise you to clean back once a week.

At the rear side, this smartphone encircles a fingerprint scanner, a quad-camera setup attended by the LED-flashlight, and a simple Samsung branding at the lower side.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition is assembled with a huge battery and the phone does feel a bit chunky but the weight distribution done here is remarkable.

Display

Samsung Galaxy M31 comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED U-notch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

This device does not feature a notification LED-light but you can turn on always-on display mode to never miss out on any important messages or emails.

The bezels are relatively thin from the sides, and since it’s the sAMOLED panel the colour reproduction is vibrant and the experience on media consumption is joyful.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition is powered by an Exynos 9611 SoC and 6GB of RAM.

The performance you get on this phone is said to be exceptional on a day to day use. However, the gaming score is not good enough.

Even though it has a 6GB of RAM and a powerful SoC it still lacks performance in gaming, there are no issues with the 2D games, the problems occur when you try to play a battle royale game at 60fps.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition runs on One UI 3.0 designed on Android 11.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition houses a quad-camera setup in a rectangular-shaped plate with rounded corners and the one selfie camera is tucked in U-notch space.

Rear-Camera

64MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0 provides exceptional image quality while used in outdoor lighting.

8MP ultrawide works fine and can be used to capture group photos.

5MP of depth sensor measures the depth of the object and blur the background in order to provide stunning portrait shots.

Another 5MP is macro for close-range photography.

You can record videos in slow motion, and there is another mode call super slo-mo to which provide more fps count to get a decent slo-mo video.

Selfie

The 32MP selfie camera is remarkable when you use it for normal shots.

But when you try to take portrait images, the edge detection does not go well most of the time but I am sure it will be fixed within software updates.

Battery Life

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition has a monstrous 6000mAh battery and it will last you 8 to 9 hours on heavy use and if you use it just for music, call, and youtube then it will last more than a day.

The charger given in the box is 15W and to be honest, it does take almost 3 hours to charge the battery so it can’t be said as a fast charger.

My Opinion

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition is good for normal users who are not into gaming, this smartphone is good for media consumption, casual photography, and for calls.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition is the best smartphone under 20000 considering that monster battery and reliable after-sales service.

Good
  • Decent processor
  • AMOLED display
  • Exceptional camera
  • Smooth One UI
Bad
  • Slow charger

8. Realme 7

realme 7
Realme 7 Specification
Display6.5-inch 90Hz inch FHD+ LCD display
Camera64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP rear | 16MP front
ProcessorMediaTek Helio G95 (12nm)
RAM & Storage6GB | 64GB
OSAndroid 10, Realme UI
Battery Life5000mAh | 30W Fast charger

Realme pushes their number line up more than anything and the Realme 7 is the best mid-range smartphone price under 20000 rupees.

Design and Build

Realme 7 has a distinct look. Realme always put more into aesthetics, the mist white colour of the phone glows in the sunlight.

The design partition at the back can be seen clearly.

The rear panel is made out of polycarbonate which is no big surprise and the back only contains an in-line camera setup and a horizontal written Realme logo.

The connectivity port USB Type-C is located on the bottom frame alongside the speaker grill.

For the secure login, the fingerprint sensor is embedded on the power button which works swiftly.

You can insert two 4G sim cards and one memory card.

Display

Realme 7 features the 6.5-inch 90hz Full HD+ LCD punch-hole display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

The display works smoothly thanks to that higher refresh rate and also the touch sampling rate is 120Hz.

The high refresh rate provides a better experience in gaming especially when your opponent has a 60Hz display you have the edge of winning as your movements are smooth and faster.

Also, even the panel is LCD the colour reproduction is very good on this device.

With the widevine L1 enabled as a cherry on top, you can stream OTT contents in Full HD resolution.

Performance

Realme 7 is the first smartphone to carry a MediaTek Helio G95 processor which is an octa-core CPU designed on 12nm.

With this CPU you can perform day-to-day tasks effortlessly and the multitasking experience is delightful.

Also, the 6GB of RAM module never lets you down on any task, and with the 64GB UFS 2.1 storage you can copy/paste files quickly, and in my guess, 64GB is plenty enough to store music and multimedia.

The device runs the Realme UI based on Android 10 and in this UI you get to see fewer ads.

Camera

The in-line quad-camera setup is only a bit different from other smartphones, as the fourth camera is not located in the second row.

The selfie camera is planted into the punch-hole. To discover more keep reading…

Rear-Camera

Main 64MP camera with the Sony IMX682 sensor captures good photos in daylight conditions and the results of night mode are also pleasing.

8MP ultrawide lens is nothing more exceptional, the quality is decent and it lacks a little dynamic range but it does not break the bank.

The other two cameras are 2MP macro and 2MP depth. The portrait photos that come out from this phone are good.

Macro lens can be useful if you have time to play around with it and once you have done clicking photos, you can post them on your social media.

Selfie

The 16MP front shooter captures awesome portrait shots and the edge detection is remarkable.

The normal selfies aren’t that bad as well.

Battery Life

Realme 7 comes with a 5000mAh battery which is non-removable, of course.

The backup you get on this one is 7 to 9 hours, only if you use it continuously. Otherwise, on normal use, it can easily last a day.

But no more wait for charging as Realme provides a 30W fast charger inside the box and it will boost the battery levels up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

My Opinion

Realme 7 is a good package considering the fast charger, a big battery, and a gaming processor which just not gives good performance on gaming but also provides efficient performance on daily use.
